Certification

To become a certified teacher in Texas, you must not only complete your degree through an approved teacher preparation program but also take and pass required state certification exams. It's important to meet regularly with your advisors to make sure you're on track with both your classes and certification requirements.

Certification
The Teacher Certification Office is located in the College of Education, but it serves all colleges in the university that have teacher certification programs. The Certification Office can help you make sure that you're fulfilling all of the necessary class requirements to prepare for your teacher certification examinations.
