The Teacher Education Induction Ceremony is the College of Education and Human Development's special way of recognizing students' achievement of becoming professional educators.
This ceremony is not just for students whose majors are based in the College of Education and Human Development. It is the College's welcome to all TAMUCC students who have successfully completed the requirements of the Teacher Education Program and are seeking initial certification into the teaching profession.
This formal recognition includes students receiving medallions to commemorate their achievement as they are formally welcomed into the teaching profession. These medallions can be worn over gowns at graduation.
The ceremony takes place each fall and spring semester. You will receive your invitation during the semester in which you are student teaching (at the student teacher meetings on campus).
