Marvarene Oliver, Ed.D., LPC-S, LMFT-S, is an assistant professor in the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology. She teaches in both the master's and doctoral programs. Dr. Oliver has extensive experience in providing individual, couples, and family psychotherapy and counseling, and is a supervisor for the LPC and LMFT licenses. In addition, she is an approved supervisor for the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Her research interests include ethical and professional issues in counselor education and practice, supervision, pedagogy in counselor education and training, and bridging research and practice.
