A. Stephen Lenz, Ph.D., LPC is an Assistant Professor of Counselor Education at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and President of the Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling. Dr. Lenz is the Admissions Coordinator for the Master’s Degree Program in Counseling and Director of the Supporting Pediatric Adjustment and Resilience through Counseling (SPARC) Program, which trains counseling students to use evidence-supported treatments with children, adolescents, and transitional-age youth within an integrated behavioral health network.

As a practitioner, Dr. Lenz has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families as an LPC in community-based, university, and private practice counseling settings. He is a specialist in the treatment of trauma and positive psychology interventions. His research interests include community-based program evaluation, counseling outcome research, development/translation of psychological assessments, and meta-analysis.
