Jennifer Gerlach, Ph.D., NCC is an assistant professor in Counselor Education at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Dr. Gerlach earned both her doctorate and Master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and her Bachelor’s degree from University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Dr. Gerlach was a high school counselor for six years before joining the faculty at TAMUCC. A strong believer in service, she was very involved in suicide prevention efforts and bereavement counseling for children in Richmond, Virginia. Her research interests include student-athletes, wellness, school counselor preparation and issues, and bereavement counseling.
