A lifelong resident of South Texas, Dr. Scott Elliff received his B.S. and M.S. from Corpus Christi State University, and his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. His career in public education led him from the elementary classroom through various central administrative positions in curriculum and instruction, student services, and public affairs. Dr. Elliff was appointed Superintendent of Schools for the Corpus Christi ISD in 2006, where he served until his retirement in 2014. Additionally, as a Senior Consultant for the Panasonic Foundation for seven years, he worked on major school reform initiatives with superintendents, school boards, and teacher unions in urban districts across the country.
Dr. Elliff was named Region 2 Superintendent of the Year in 2011, and was honored by the Texas PTA as Texas Superintendent of the Year in 2014. His active participation in professional organizations includes serving on the Governing Board of the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) and the Legislative Committee for the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA).
